Gossip:
Police finally decided that Britney Spears may not be as crazy as people live to see, and have started arrested dozens of defiant papparazzi, who camp outside her home.
Now, police have decided that Britney should stay home, as she, Paris HIlton and Lindsey Lohan should take responsibility for our hunger for train wrecks and not 'traipse all over town".

Energy Vampires

Most of them are not even aware they do it, it is merely an act of inconsciousness, it leaves you feeling drained or like you are being drained, tired, yawney etc....but a few know very well what they are doing and are so well practised at it that they have their own groupies just like the movies of the vampires...but the difference being that no one bit the groupies, these are people who prey on others energy purposely.

To those like me who are super energy sensitive, it's like being beaten up because attacks hurt so much physically that it takes me a week to heal from one of these people and their group attacks because it takes that long to find all the connections that have been made. I had one recently that was the worst I had ever experienced just by wandering into and checking out an awesome profile. Any thoughts and comments are welcome.

I do wonder if any energy vamps are reformed and if so, how they did it, how they got away from the group and why they choose to leave, it seems to me that it would be like a drug or a happy pill.

Thanks, Spirit Wolf

Make mine Marvel!

What we've got here is failure to communicate.
Some men you just can't reach...
So, you get what we had here last week,
Which is the way he wants it !
Well, he gets it !
N' I don't like it any more than you men.

Look at your young men fighting
Look at your women crying
Look at your young men dying
The way they've always done before

Look at the hate we're breeding
Look at the fear we're feeding
-Guns 'n' Roses

With the uproar over the movie '300' with the country of Iran, and the studio's claim it was mostly fiction set in a time with actual facts, this was on my mind...
Captain America 'died' at the end (late forties, actually) and only resurfaced for a few months in 1956, along with The Sub Mariner and The Human Torch, in stories, which, to me, were great, with amazing artwork by Carl Burgos, Bill Everett, Dick Ayers, and John Romita Sr.
This was not for the times, and it wasn't until with (allegedly) $5000 in the bank and a staff less than ten, Stan Lee and Jack Kirby launched The Fantastic Four, based on inspiration from the work and sales of DC Comics' The Justice League, envisioned by editor Julius Schwartz.
Comics have always rode the cusp of media, entertainment, and yes, art, and Green Lantern/Green Arrow from DC, written by Dennis O'Neil and illustrated by Neal Adams and Dick Giordano explored current themes disguised even as Science Fiction.
This was not new as the show Star Trek (1966-1969) used the top Sci-Fi novelists, and could make effective statements about Viet Nam, etc, in the form of 'similiar planetary development'.
In 1963, the Sub Mariner, the prototypical Marvel 'anti hero', who was enraged at the massacre of all of his people by the human race, was busting up glaciers in a fury and found...in a block of ice, none other than Captain America, alive, in suspended animation.
When Cap was unwilling to join Namor, the Sub Mariner in his quest of vengeance against the surface dwelling human race, Captain America discovered the team of heroes, the Avengers, and wanted to lead them, but they were not interested and all of them resigned.
Cap then took Hawkeye, a second rate Robin Hood, The Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, former second rate 'evil mutant' X-Men villians and the four of them defeated the forces of evil as easily or dare say, even easier than the so called 'A' team of Avengers.
Not only that, the book sold even better, as the fans of that time probably for the most part, hadn't even heard of Captain America, as mostly children read comic books then, until their mothers threw them away and they moved onto regular books.
This is a voucher for Stan Lee, who ran Marvel as a Madison Avenue campaign, where stories never ended and intertwined and Jack Kirby who...
In World War II, was in a foxhole, and his friend and comrade was fatally wounded and dying in his arms, and looked up at Jack and asked, "What happened?" and Jack replied, "You did!". It was then that Mr. Kirby realized that 'it's done by privelge' and went on to create nearly all of Marvels great legends, including Spiderman and DC Comics' The New Gods, Mr. Miracle and the Forever People...
Captain America has died once again, apparently, at the hands of the Red Skull?
This was the agonizing climax to Marvel's 'Civil War', where the U.S. government required all Marvel heroes to register all of their information, dividing these great legends.
This brings the question to mind, so what is the Sub Mariner doing these days, and when was the last time he busted up glaciers?

Why

When I created this, I was trying to see if materialism can be used for spiritual means.
Since then, I've learned it is the same thing.
I agree, not in the way the Buddhists who said this do, but in terms that opening up to the wonders of what this mortal existance offers keeps our attention away from wanting to exist in what's beyond before it happens.
I think spiritually living in the world beyond shows a misunderstanding or disdain for the gift of life.
Not enough spirituality can make material gains a vice and not one of the flavors of life.

A lover asked his beloved,
Do you love yourself more
than you love me?

The beloved replied,
I have died to myself
and I live for you.

I’ve disappeared from myself
and my attributes.
I am present only for you.
but from knowing you
I have become a scholar.

The Nondual Matrix

In the DVD set of The Matrix Trilogy, there is a feature that can be chosen where Ken Wilbur does a philosophical commentary on the flick as it goes along (kind of like Mystery Science Theater 3000.)

My favorite comment of his was in the classic moment where Morpheus is offering the two pills:

Morpheus: "You take the blue pill and the story ends. You wake in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill and you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes."

Wilbur: "Why not just take BOTH pills?"

Brilliant!

When I look at why so many asked to join I have never met, I thought about this one, and feel this concept, (balancing our finite time on earth and whatever more there is in the universe) can be the key to whatever is bothering us as a planet.
Maybe that's overly dramatic, but seems there is too much extremism one way or the other.

How much is too much or too little materialism to ensure spirituality?
For me, it's enough to not lose faith or hope and not too much, as to change my sense of proportion as to what's imporant, i.e...if someone becomes obsessed with earning money, they may never enjoy it, just always think of ways to keep making it...
